    Dies ist nicht möglich aber du kannst Anti-Spam Massnahmen oder Freigabe des Eintrages durch den Administrator aktivieren um unerwünschte Postings zu minimieren.

    How can I activate the function “add the images” into DMSGuestbook? Is it posssible? Next question how can I change text fields from eg “email” to “phone nr”? (the section “manage DMSGuestbook” is not visible in options )

    Hi Ico

    - You can’t add any images to a DMSGuestbook posting as visitor. You can edit the posting as administrator after submitting in: “DMSGuestbook -> Entries -> Edit” with HTML tags if you want.
    - Look at “dmsguestbook/language/*” for changing the email caption text.

    Just a suggestion. Can you please consider the admin area to fully work in Google Chrome? Ajax content tabs can’t be displayed.

    Nun zu meiner Frage:

    Welche Beireiche im CSS Abschnitt der Einstellungen sind für die Gestaltung des Widget (2.50) verantwortlich. Ich möchte gern den Rahmen entfernen und die Schrift etwas “graziler” gestalten um sie dem Skin anzupassen.

    Dies kann direkt in der Widget Sektion von WordPress vorgenommen werden, dort hat es drei Teilbereiche: Header, Data und Footer wo mit HTML und CSS das Aussehen verändert werden kann.

    vielen Dank auch für die jahrelange Wartung und Aufarbeitung des Plugins
    Nun ich habe ein Probleme die Gästebuch admin Seite ist verschwunden mit samt dem Gästebuch. Ich habe es schon probiert manuel aufzurufen, da bekomme ich die Meldung das ich nicht genug rechte habe.
    Eine Lösung habe ich leider nicht.

    Hi Daniel,
    This is a great plugin, and I would like to use it on a client’s website, but I have the ‘Secondary HTML content” plugin on the site, and when I activate your DMSGuestbook plugin on a page, it appears both in the body of the page and in the Secondary HTML area, even though I have not purposefully added it there.
    Can you give me some direction for fixing this? I am asking the author of the other plugin as well.

    Hallo Michael

    Dieser Fatal Error kann mehrere Ursachen haben.
    Er versucht momentan 40MB Speicher zu allozieren, was aber mangels Restspeicher fehlschlägt.
    Hast du viele Plugins aktiviert? Versuche mal ein paar zu deaktivieren.

    Das Problem mit den Berechtigungen ist ein wenig verworren, da es Installation gibt, bei denen es wunderbar geht und bei anderen überhaupt nicht.
    Ich kann dir diesbezüglich keinen anderen Rat geben, als es aktiviert zu lassen, oder nach Beendigung deiner Einstellungen am Gästebuch wieder zu deaktivieren, damit nicht alle User darauf Zugriff haben.

    I’ve tried out the “Secondary HTML content” plugin on my test page and a default template and it runs well.
    Did you change the theme already?
    Did you deactivate all plugins except DMSGuestbook to see whether the problem is gone?

    Diese Meldung kannst du eigentlich ignorieren. Sie sagt nur aus, dass der Header schon geladen wurde als DMSGuestbook dies auch noch machen wollte.

    Die Verzeichnise und ihre Dateien unter “dmsguestbook/template/form/default.tpl”, “dmsguestbook/template/post/default.tpl” und “dmsguestbook/template/language” müssen die Berechtigung 644 haben.

    Sonst mache mal ein Reset unter “DMSGuestbook -> Guestbook settings” -> “Restore default setting – all data will be replaced”

    Restore DMSGuestbook_options:
    Open your DMSGuestbook option backup text file and put the content in the textfield below.
    All data will be overwrite!

    Nein, nicht unter “Database settings”, unter “Guestbook settings” -> “Restore default setting – all data will be replaced” ist schon richtig, damit werden alle Daten auf Werkseinstellung zurückgesetzt.
    Ansonsten erstelle mir einen WordPress Admin-Account und sende mir die Daten an DMSGuestbook [ät] DanielSchurter [dot] net und ich werde mir das Ganze bei Gelegenheit anschauen.

    Reinstall? Und wenn ja wie ohne die bestehenden Settings zu verlieren?
    DSMGuestbook scheint zu laufen, nur administrieren kann ich es nicht mehr … :-(

    Hallo Daniel,

    tolles Gästebuch hast du da entwickelt.

    Ich würde gerne die CountryList aktivieren. Ich habe nur das Problem, dass ich die “Additional selectbox” nicht aktiviert bekomme. D.h. wenn ich das Häkchen setze, die Datei “CountryListEnglish.txt” oder irgend eine andere *.txt Datei auswähle, anschließend speicher und anschließend die Seite mit dem Gästebuch laden möchte klappt es nicht. Die Seite läd und läd und es passiert nichts. Hast Du eine Idee, woran das liegen könnte?

    Ich konnte das DMSGuestbook in der Plugins Sektion von WordPress aktivieren und dann entsprechend auch benutzen. Alles wunderbar, aber nun plötzlich, heute ein Tag später, erscheint es nicht mehr in der Navigationsleiste. Erneute Installation, Aktivierung waren nicht erfoglreich. Es erscheint einfach nirgends… Kannst du mir weiterhelfen?

    - Try to deactivate all other plugins except DMSGuestbook temporarly and then activate it again, step by step
    - Switch the theme tomporarly
    - Reinstall DMSGuestbook and all guestbook settings

    I’m try delete & modify mysql. I’m find bug. If guestbook empty – everything working ok, no problem, I see all.

    If guestbook have 3 comments other user add – no problem, everything ok.
    If I write next comments ( 4 th ) – I not see all entry write others user, I see empty GuestBook

    Can You check this? If You need I see my GuestBook mysql record.

    Next my test:
    I’m random delete write post, If 3 post in GuestBook – I see, If write next – 4th post – I see empty GuestBook. Next my test: random deleted post from GuestBook – if 3 – I see all post, If I write next – Guestbook not vissible.

    Just added your plug-in and it looks great. I moved 3 comments to the guestbook and they appeared.
    But today someone wrote an entry, and that one doesn’t show!!! Just the name and date, no text. (In the admin panel, I can see the entry, I even “edited” it and saved it, but it still doesn ‘t show)
    What could be wrong, here?

    I’m deactivate DMS Guestbook and DMS widget, and activate again.
    if in Guestbook have 3 post – see all post.
    If write 4 post – all posts not visible, window write post not visible.
    If I delete 2 post from Guestbok – everything is visible, Guestbook working ok

    I’ve installed “All in One SEO Pack” 1.6.10.2, running on WordPress 2.9.2 with DMSGuestbook 1.6.0 and all entries are shown in my guestbook.

    Otherwise you can exclude the guestbook in in the SEO option page. (Excludes Pages)

    It seem to be that the SEO exclude list has no effect.
    You have to insert the guestbook name “ksiegagosci” or id e.g “45″ to this exclude list, not the whole url.

    Tried it. Deactivated ALL plugins, and then only the guestbook and even then the entry doesn’t show!

    Found it: I had an extra field (Additional selectbox) for Zodiac sign. That worked fine in the guestbook, but when I removed it from the Settings, the entry re-appeared!!!

    Maybe a tiny little bug?

    No changes to theme.
    As soon as I activate the additional selectbox, the comment disappears again.
    I also noticed that with the extra box active, the guestbook will not fit on the page properly.
    It is possibly the combination of the extra space it needs for the box and the way my Theme makes up the page.

    I found the problem, it was the SEO Smart Link Plugin.
    I put in the guestbook link (ksiegagosci) into the “SEO Smart Link” exclude option field, after that DMSGuestbook is showing all entries.

    You will find the “most used” color in DMSGuestbook -> Guestbook settings -> Color”
    All other settings can be defined in “DMSGuestbook -> Guestbook settings -> CSS”

    I suggest you using the “Firebug” plugin for Firefox or “Dragonfly” for Opera.
    This could you help to find very quickly the right css settings on your web page.

    Thx Dani, I tried different settings, but no luck. Also with Firebug, no succes. But now I changed the font colour from white to black. Everything is, when people write a message, blavk. Name, email, website BUT the message area, background white, is still the font colour WHITE. So, as you can understand, they can’t read what they are writing :-) Plz let me know where to change this font colour. It’s driving me nuts.

    Also I did not checked the box from website but still this is mandatory? Any clue’s.

    Did you change the color value in “css_form_messagefield” in the CSS section?
    All settings can be changed in this CSS section and you can customize the whole appearance of your guestbook with CSS.

    Mandatory things can be changed in the “Mandatory” section.

    You have to change the default.tpl in your “dmsguestbook/template/form/” folder, but you need php skills to edit that. Additional you have to change a lot of stuff in dmsguestbook.php and that is not trivial (database entries, data field checks, etc.)

    ich möchte auch noch mal eine Fehlermeldung in den Raum werfen. Diese tritt wohl in Verbindung mit dem Sidebar Plugin beim Bearbeiten und anschließenden Speichern von Gästebucheinträgen.

    Hallo Daniel,
    mir blieb eh nichts anderes übrig als die Fehlermeldung, aus Mangel an Kenntnissen, zu ignorieren. ;-)
    Hatte schon gemerkt das es keine Einflüsse auf die Funktionalität hatte, dachte nur ich Melde den Fehler mal vielleicht liegt es auch an meiner Installation.

    Hallo Daniel,

    vielen Dank für dein Gästebuch – es ist echt super.
    Ich möchte gern die WebSeite wechslen, aber das Gästebuch samt Einträge mitnehmen – ich finde leider keine Export Funktion. Würde es reichen die Tabelle der DB zu exporteiren und im neuen zu importieren – oder hast Du ne bessere Idee bzw. vielleciht gar nicht möglich.

    DMSGuestbook bietet keine Export Funktion für das Gästebuch an. Das Exportieren müsstest du daher über eine Software wie PhpMyAdmin realisieren.

    Versuche mal unter “Appearance -> Widget” bei “Screen Options” (oben rechts) “accessibility mode” auszusschalten.
    Je nach Browser z.B.Chrome, kann das verschieben von Widgets Probleme bereiten.

    Hallo Daniel

    Vielen Dank für das Gästebuch – es gefällt mir echt gut. Gerne würde ich dieses jedoch meinem Webseiten-Layout anpassen. Bei den Kommentaren auf meiner Webseite verwende ich ein Hintergrund-Bild, da ich die gewünschte Farbe mit den Web-Farben einfach nicht hinbekommen habe.

    Jetzt würde ich auch gerne beim Gästebuch ein Hintergrund-Bild anlegen und zwar bei der Klasse .css_post_embedded. Hintergrund-Farbe geht, Hintergrund-Bild krieg ich einfach nicht hin. Habe gestern 4 Stunden lang alles mögliche ausprobiert. Geht es einfach nicht oder sehe ich den Wald vor lauter Bäumen nicht mehr?

    Ich wäre dir für deine Hilfe sehr dankbar!

    Hallo Daniel,

    erstmal ein großes Kompliment für das Gästebuch!

    Ich habe es vor drei Wochen auf meinem Blog installiert und auf der Seite an sich läuft es auch super. Ich würde auch gerne das Widget dazu installieren, was ich allerdings seit drei Wochen nicht hinbekomme. Es ist aktiviert und taucht auch in der Widgetliste auf, allerdings lässt es sich partout nicht in die Sidebar ziehen. Sobald ich es markiere, um es rüber zu ziehen, tut sich gar nichts. Ich habe schon gegoogelt und hier auf deinen Seiten geschaut, ob jemand ein ähnliches Problem hat, aber nichts dazu gefunden. Ich überlege jetzt, ob ich evtl. zuwenig Speicherplatz habe, allerdings lassen sich alle anderen Widgets problemlos installieren (erst gestern habe ich noch zwei neue installiert).

    Würde mich über eine Antwort freuen, vielen Dank!

    Ich danke dir vielmals!! Es hat auf Anhieb funktioniert. Da hätte ich noch lange probieren können, ich wäre nie auf diese Möglichkeit gekommen – hatte das Feld noch nie wahrgenommen. Naja, manchmal sieht man vor lauter Bäumen den Wald eben nicht mehr… :-)

    Echt super dein Support. Vielen Dank für die schnelle Antwort.
    Habs unter Custom CSS versucht, leider ohne Erfolg. Dann hab ich mir gedacht ich versuchs jetzt doch nochmals direkt unter .css_post_embedded (34) und siehe da – es hat funktioniert. Keine Ahnung warum – habe es vorher schon 1000x probiert. Wahrscheinlich ein Tippfehler oder so. Vielen Dank auf jedenfall für deine Unterstützung.
