Opps, I made a mistake. I found the error and fixed it, please download DMSGuestbook 1.14.0 again and copy the file “dmsguestbook.php” in your dmsguestbook folder.

Für das extra Feld “Ort” hat es bei diesem Update wohl leider nicht mehr gereicht!?!? …bzw. die Möglichkeit eigene Felder hinzuzufügen. Oder finde ich´s bloß nicht?

Schau unter “Extended” ganz unten, dort findest du das Feld.
P.S: Solltest Du die Version 1.14.0 gestern vor 12 Uhr runtergeladen haben, so muss du es nochmals tun. Es hatte sich einen Fehler eingeschlichen.

OK, Land bzw. Ort dann “nur” als Auswahlbox?!?! Demnach müsste ich eine Liste erstellen in dem z.B. alle Bundesländer aufgelistet werden, eine Möglichkeit Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Berlin, etc. manuell einzugeben finde ich nicht…

Hi Daniel,
habe heute von wordpress.org die neue Gästebuchversion heruntergeladen und auf einen Blog aufgespielt.
Anschließend kamen Fehlermeldungen im Frontend:
Warning: fopen(/xxxx/wp-content/plugins/dmsguestbook/language/deutsch.txt) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /mnt/webspace/04/30220/cleri.de/wp-content/plugins/dmsguestbook/dmsguestbook.php on line 684
Ursache: Im Paket heißt die Sprachdatei “german.txt”
Hab sie in auf dem Server “deutsch.txt” umbenannt.
Wäre vllt. nett, das im Download-Paket zu fixen…

Alle Sprachdateien sind in Englisch beschriftet, so auch die Deutsche als “german.txt”.
Hattest du vielleicht mal eine eigene Sprachdatei erstellt und diese als “deutsch.txt” abgespeichert?

Ich nehme mal an, dass du nun das DMSGuestbook Plugin auch nicht mehr deaktivieren kannst.
Durch das Umbenennen des dmsguestbook Ordner, solltest du wieder auf die Plugin Übersichtsseite kommen.
Bestand das Problem vielleicht auch schon früher einmal und wie viele Plugins hast du überhaupt aktiviert?

Setze erst eimal wieder 1.13.0, allerdings hatte ich da Probleme mit Spam, weil der Captcha
bei mir nicht funktioniert. (Bei 1.14.0 funktioniert er)
Bisher hatte ich das Problem noch nicht, falls es aber an ein anderes Plugin liegt, kann ich es im Ausschluss Verfahren nicht finden, da ich alle 70 im Einsatz befindlichen Plugins brauche lol.

wie viel Memory hat dein Server zur Verfügung? (Dies kannst du im DMSGuestbook Dashboard oder unter phpinfo nachschauen.)

Der Speicher ist fast immer voll, aber der DiskSwap liegt meist bei 5%.
CPU Auslastung: 37%
Ist das ein Problem?

Könnte knapp werden, versuch mal dein ganzes WordPress und alle aktiven Plugins über xampp.org auf deinem Rechner laufen zu lassen.

Das mit xampp werde ich versuchen, allerdings wüsste ich dann nur, dass ich zuwenig speicher habe, was eh war ist.
Vielleicht deaktiviere ich einige Erweiterungen, welche ich nicht ständig nutze.
Uahhh, Dein Captcha ist echt schwer zu lesen …

Hallo Daniel,
Ich hab ein Problem mit der DMSGuestbook Version 1.14.0. Und zwar erscheint auf dem Dashboard unter News folgende Fehlermeldung:

Man kann zwar ganz normal Einträge machen, jedoch erscheinen in den Beiträgen recht seltsame Lininen, die da nicht sein sollten (nachzusehen unter http://www.treckertreck.de/neu/?page_id=96).
Was kann ich dagegen machen?

Die Fehler im Dashboard hat keine Auswirkung auf die Darstellung im Gästebuch. Der Fehler erscheint, weil der RSS Zugriff auf http://www.danielschurter.net/.....book/feed/ aus irgendeinem Grund nicht erfolgreich war.
Je nach Theme musst du unter “Guestbook settings -> CSS” noch Änderungen in der Darstellung vornehmen.

1. Is there anyway to make Gravatars show in the sidebar widget as well as the guestbook page?
2. How do I display the sidebar widget on website pages outside my blog?

1.) Actually there isn’t a way to show gravatars on the DMSGuestbook widget. I’ll think about to implement this in a further version, thanks for the feedback.
2.) The widget is only running in WordPress, some code using a special WordPress syntax and it’s not possible to run this outside WordPress. I can rewrite the widget plugin in an ordinary php class which have a connector to the DMSGuestbook database. I have to think about this…

I have one problem actualy. When i open the guestbook page on the website I get the following error:

Are there any files in the module folder? Check the permission level of these files, it should have 664 or higher.

ich hab das DMS guestbook installiert und das widget in der sidebar platziert. Es erscheint auch, allerdings ohne input formular.
auch auf deiner seite (hier) hat das guestbook in der sidebar kein input formular.
was ist da los?

Das Widget hat in der Tat kein Input Formular, da dies lediglich eine Auflistung der letzten X-Einträge darstellt.
